NH legislators are moving through over 1,000 bills this session, many of which could help, or hurt, Granite State businesses. BIA is advocating for or against scores of bills related to workforce development, housing and overreaching regulations that could drive up the cost of doing business, particularly those targeting landfills and waste streams. Many other bills could impact the future of energy in the state, labor costs, data privacy and more. Much like last session, the almost evenly divided House makes for heated committee debates and more bills advancing “without recommendation,” something rarely seen before. Once again, whether a bill passes or fails has less to do with its merits and more to do with who has the majority when the vote is taken.
What does all this mean for businesses and the Granite State? Grab a coffee and breakfast with a side of political intrigue, election year legislative efforts, and learn what’s in store for the second half of the session. Join BIA’s Coffee and Crossover and get the latest news on the most important developments. Coffee and Crossover will again feature a distinguished panel of New Hampshire’s finest political observers and reporters, from left to right below:
Amanda Gokee, New Hampshire Reporter, Boston GlobeKevin Landrigan, State House Bureau Chief, New Hampshire Union LeaderProfessor Dean Spiliotes, Civic Scholar in the School of Arts, Sciences & Education, Southern New Hampshire UniversityAnnmarie Timmins, Reporter & Editor, NH Bulletin

The cost to attend the breakfast is $35 for members of the BIA, BIA Capitol Connect program, and members of partnering trade organizations. The cost for non-BIA members is $49.
